  1. Save any work and close all open programs.
  2. Download and install the Base Windows Installer.

    2. Navigate to the location where you downloaded the installer and double-click Avaya one-X Communicator Suite.exe icon.
    3. If prompted by Windows SmartScreen, click More Info and then click Run Anyway. If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.

  11. From the left list, select Preferences and place a check in the Automatically login if possible when application restarts check box.
  12. From the left list, select Desktop Integration and set the following options:
    1. Clear the Enable Avaya Collaboration Services check box.
    2. Clear the Microsoft Outlook Contacts check box.
    3. Place a check in the Avaya SIP Personal Profile Manager (PPM) Contacts check box.
  13. From the left list, select Network and set the following options:
    1. Clear the Use Differentiated Services for Audio check box.
    2. Clear the Use 802.1p prioritization for Audio check box.
  14. Select OK on the bottom right. At the prompt to reboot, press the Yes button. The client will reboot.
  15. At the login window select Log In.
  16. Conduct test calls:
    • Try dialing your voicemail:
      • For Blacksburg campus, dial: 11000
      • For National Capital Region (VTRCA, NVC, LCI, EMC), dial: 83040
    • Try calling a long-distance off-campus number of your choice.
